The flat-twin powered BMW motorcycle was steadily developed until it became a machine to be reckoned with, Georg Meir winning the Senior TT in 1939. After the war BMW won 19 world titles from the mid-1950s to the mid-1970s in sidecar racing. This book then brings the story up to date with the K-series four-cylinder, the four valve twins of the 1990s and the F650-based single.
